Shortly after he died I woke up with an image of him. Big yellow eyes and looking startled. I went to my studio and it kinda painted itself. Bit spooky actually. 

My gallery in Belfast sold that painting from the catalogue posted to people before the exhibition and it kinda snowballed from there. 

I have wondered where on earth did that pose come from and then I remember he used to scratch furniture etc and I would shout STOP IT HERBIE and that was the look. That's my Herbie story.
