THE GOAT

Funny animals goats. They can actually look quite fearsome and this reflects in this painting which has been painted over a couple of years. The issue was the background which I was not happy with. After playing around with different backgrounds I came up with one I liked.

FLOWERS AT MOMA

The background to this painting was I was in the coffee shop of MOMA in New York and the tables were laid out with these flowers. I guess it was the location but I saw the bright almost Mexican colours of the flower against the lightness of the table cloth. I did some sketches and this painting is a result of that coffee in the fantastic Museum of Modern Art.
